From France to Germany ! I moved to Berlin at the end of my Master's degree in Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering, to forget the planes, come back to Earth and learn and growth in the train signalling world

After studying mechanical engineering, aerodynamics, and flight mechanics at CentraleSupélec (Université Paris Saclay), I wanted to explore another branch of transportation engineering: railways. The desire to discover a European capital upon completing my studies motivated my choice to apply for the VIE program across Europe. I settled in Berlin in 2023 for a VIE position in Maintenance and Service, and joined the On-Board Signaling Design Team in October 2024. My experience in system design in the aerospace sector acquired during my studies has enabled me to approach this new position effectively, although it is with an entirely new system.

I transform the Alstom solution of On-Board computer in a final product installed in the train to manage its speed and ensure its safety.

As designer, we design and adapt the Alstom solution of on-board computer to our various project, defining the client's needs, functions and the architecture. How many antennas does our client require? How is the train recorder connected? Our job involves combining all the requirements to deliver the right product and performing static test in our Berlin lab to ensure the integrated system functions correctly before handing it over to the Validation and verification team.

I am proud to participate in the development of environmentally friendly mobility solution

My main motivation stems from a deep pride in contributing to environmentally friendly mobility solutions. In a world where sustainability is becoming increasingly critical, I wanted my day to day activity to be aligned with my values. For instance I am happy to work for S-Bahn (speed city train) project, that ease the mobility of the citizens and connect them.
