From Mechanical Engineer to Level Crossing Discipline Manager
One of the most significant steps in my career was my internship in Exterior and Bodywork Development at BMW's Research and Innovation Center in Munich, Germany, in 2020. During this time, I had the chance to collaborate with various teams on product development. I played a key role in creating standardized quality roadmaps, which helped me gain valuable insights into the automotive industry and ignited my passion for engineering processes.
Building on this experience, I joined Alstom Denmark in February 2021 as a Methods Engineer. After evolving with in the company on various missions I advanced to the role of Level Crossing Discipline Manager in January 2024, where I oversee the successful delivery and implementation of Level crossing systems that enhance railway safety.
My responsibilities include developing project strategies based on technical knowledge, and ensuring that the projects stays on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness by delivering Level crossing design on time and according to quality standards.
I also represent Alstom in technical discussions with clients and partners, where I communicate updates and gather feedback.
These career moves illustrate my journey from an intern at BMW to a technical managerial position at Alstom. My time at BMW provided me with essential experience in product development and quality assurance. One of my greatest achievements at Alstom has been my promotion from System Designer to Level Crossing Discipline Manager. This advancement reflects my dedication and hard work in the rail signalling industry.
