From France to Romania: from HR to now thriving as a buyer.
One of my most important career moves was transitioning to Human Resources, motivated by my passion for talent development and creating a positive work environment that fosters employee growth.
Another significant step was my decision to participate in a V.I.E. (Volontariat International en Entreprise) program in Romania, which allowed me to gain valuable international experience and broaden my cultural understanding, enhancing my professional skills in a global context.
Finally, moving into a procurement role was driven by my desire to leverage my HR insights in a new capacity, focusing on strategic sourcing and building supplier relationships to contribute to the organization’s success.
I handle indirect purchasing to improve sourcing and maximize savings.
In my role as an indirect buyer, I focus on sourcing goods and services primarily from French sites. I am part of a dynamic team that collaborates with other teams working for sites around the world. My missions include evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
The positive aspects of my role include driving significant cost savings for the company and the opportunity to work with diverse teams across different regions. I take pride in contributing to the efficiency of our operations and enjoy the challenge of finding innovative solutions while building strong, strategic partnerships with suppliers in France and beyond.
Working with inspiring colleagues fuels my passion and dedication.
Throughout my experience in Alstom, I have been fortunate to work with two exceptional teams—first in Human Resources and now in Procurement. In HR, I was part of a supportive team that fostered a positive and collaborative environment, where everyone encouraged each other to grow and excel. This experience taught me the value of teamwork and the importance of a shared vision.
Now, in Procurement, I am equally privileged to work with another fantastic team that shares the same joyful spirit and dedication. Their enthusiasm and expertise motivate me to learn something new every day and push my boundaries. Together, we tackle challenges and drive innovative solutions, making our collaborative efforts both rewarding and enjoyable.
These two remarkable teams have significantly shaped my professional journey and continue to inspire me to strive for excellence.
Don't fear new experiences; they can lead to personal growth!
Stepping out of your comfort zone is crucial for personal and professional growth. For me, moving from France to Romania was a transformative experience that expanded my horizons and enhanced my adaptability. It taught me to navigate new environments and cultures, enriching my perspective.
Similarly, transitioning from Human Resources to procurement allowed me to develop new skills and insights. This shift has enabled me to understand business processes more deeply and contribute more significantly to my organization. Embracing these changes has ultimately empowered me to take on challenges and seize opportunities that I might have previously overlooked.
I grew our VIE program from 65 to 275 recruits worldwide.
During my experience in Human Resources, I had the incredible opportunity to lead the expansion of the VIE program, growing it from 65 to 275 participants worldwide. This achievement is a source of immense pride for me, as it highlights Alstom's strong commitment to inclusion and diversity.
By expanding the program, we have not only enriched our workforce with diverse talents but also fostered a vibrant, multicultural environment that reflects our values. This growth has allowed us to attract a broader range of perspectives and ideas, ultimately enhancing our innovation and collaboration. Contributing to this initiative has been a rewarding experience, showcasing how we can positively impact both the company and its global presence while promoting a more inclusive workplace. I am truly honored to be part of a team that prioritizes these essential values.
