Generally I find motivation in creating a good, healthy competitive environment. Another strategy that helps me in difficult moments is to split a big goal in more little goals. Then the finish line will seem closer and the job less of a challenge. You can feel satisfied reaching more little goals - that put together builds a big achievement.
