That's a really good question. When a recruiter called me and said: "Alstom is interested in your profile" I thought: "who?". But when I went to the site to make the job interview I already knew that I wanted to work with trains. As an engineer, trains have EVERY field of engineering on them, electronics, electric, mechanical, materials, software, etc. I was so lucky when I got hired by Alstom that I think I can't work in any other industry, when you work with trains you get completely hooked on them.

My advise, if you want to work in an industry where you can play a role in so many different positions, and you are a restless learner, just apply to Alstom :).
