Hello Shan.

I had the opportunity to make a choice from multiple job opportunities and was convinced to join Alstom when I discovered the diversity of job / career options that were proposed. The balance between technical and managerial content was also a key decision factor as it can evolve during your career as per your personal expectations.

The transition into my first engineering role was extremely motivating as I rapidly had the impression to contribute to the results of the projects I was involved in. I faced a few difficulties during the first years. I had to learn how to become an "active engineer" but I got a great support from the more experienced colleagues acting as mentors.

Kind Regards,

Pierre

Coming from working at the university I wanted join the industry again. In Berlin and the surrounding area there are a lot of options, so the location is already really good. I worked in an innovative, dynamic and supportive team (- shoutout to my former boss!) and I like the variety of topics going on here. Looking back to the first years at Alstom I'd say next to the support of colleagues on all the challenges it is learning by doing and growing into work scopes with more and more responsibilities.
